Frequently Asked Questions
Do you do photography full-time?
Yes. I have been a full-time professional photographer for over 20 years.
Although I photograph weddings, my background is in fashion, commercial, and editorial photography, and I bring that same high-end approach to every wedding I cover.
What happens if you’re sick or there is an emergency?
In the rare event that I am unable to attend due to illness or emergency, I have a strong network of highly experienced wedding photographers I can call upon. They would cover the wedding under the same terms, ensuring you remain fully looked after.
Are you insured?
I am fully insured, including full public liability insurance.
Before the wedding day, I usually provide the venue with a copy of my public liability certificate so everything is in place and compliant.
Have you shot at our venue before?
Given the number of weddings I’ve covered over the years, I have most likely worked at your venue.
If I haven’t, I will research your venue online and review images and maps. I do not usually need a pre-visit unless the venue is particularly unusual.
What camera do you use?
I use Canon professional equipment, a system I've trusted for many years.
That said, most modern cameras today deliver outstanding image quality, so the technical choice of brand is less important than the experience behind it. I regularly update my gear every couple of years to stay current with the latest technology.
Do you work alone or with a second photographer?
If you would like a second photographer, I’m happy to arrange one. A second photographer will give you more images, but it doesn't necessarily improve the quality of the main coverage; it simply increases the volume.
